Strengthening of RC Beams using SWM SCC Jacketing, A FE Numerical Modelling Study

Strengthening of reinforced concrete (RC) beams with Self-compacting (SCC) jacketing galvanized welded steel wire mesh (SWM) has been an important area study so far. Increasing the mechanical characteristics and structures to maintain required service life load capacity any structure is exciting area. In this research, a Finite Element (FE) investigation conducted on series that were previously strengthened experimentally (SWM). A model will be predict beams' load-deflection behaviour crack/failure pattern. Based both experimental numerical achieved results, FE results give some conclusions recommendations regarding strengthening RC using technique. Another external plate technique used checked compare SCC SWM The showed jacketed samples (with in addition plate) restored, average, 150 % 172 original control for groups B, respectively. Using slightly increases stiffness decreases ductility tested beams. Even though it increased ultimate SCC.
